THESIS SUMMARY

Anne Sofie investigates the role of environmental ethics in changing everyday practices and consumption in more sustainable directions. This entails a focus on situated ethics and embodiment processes, and how the use of ethnographic filmmaking practices can reveal changes in aspects concerning time and aesthetics during a process of cultivating more sustainable practices. Furthermore, the dissertation emphasizes the need for imagining sustainable futures and how examples of people trying to create change are necessary for us to imagine how we can create well-being and a level of consumption that lie within planetary boundaries.
